We have ideas as we are travelling, and observations as does everyone else. What we notice is absent on a lot of travel sites, as well as within videos, are references. We do not operate in a vacuum, and as mentioned on the front page we are all standing on the shoulders of giants. That said, below are the books, articles and videos that resonate with us as we travel and in our efforts to be responsible tourists. We hope this can be helpful, and provide context for the ideas we put forward on this site and in our videos. The DW News video has a good definition of being a responsible tourist. "Just Think". Don't assume you have more rights as a tourist than locals do. Be a decent human. This list will grow as we go along, so if you are interested in travel-type research check back in every so often.
